Microchipping

According to the National Council on Pet Population Study and Policy, more than 10 million pets get lost every year. Approximately 90% of these lost pets would not be returned to their owner unless they have some form of permanent lost pet identification. Whenever a stray animal is found, they are scanned for a microchip. If a microchip is found, the owner is called and they are reunited. Microchips are about the size of a grain of rice and are injected under the skin between the shoulder blades. The optimal time to microchip is during spaying and neutering. If your animal is already spayed or neutered, we inject a local anesthetic to the area to ensure a painless procedure.
